The Flitch Green Academy is the beating heart of the modern village in which it sits.  I feel privileged to be part of the local community that supports the school in so many ways. The Flitch Green Academy is a member of the 'Dunmow Excellence in Education Partnership' (DEEP), which consists of nine local primary schools that collaborate to provide: a locally-tailored initial teacher training programme; enrichment opportunities for pupils; and professional development opportunities for all school staff.  Sports fixtures and festivals are organised through this partnership.
 

We are also supported by the Saffron Academy Trust to develop subject and curriculum expertise alongside other school improvement pathways.

​Our curriculum is ambitious, engaging and rooted in the history and geography of our locality so learning is both relevant and inspiring for pupils. Topics range widely — from Antarctica to the Suffragettes — and are chosen to develop curious, informed global citizens who can be changemakers.
